Alexa Stock Game is an experimental project. With ASG you can create an account and essentially play the stock market but with web sites and no real money is involved! Much technology is involved to get the site running, specific stats is thanks to Alexa, Compete and Sams Whois. You can buy and sell stocks, hopefully buying low and selling high to earn more vCash.
We strive for the best performace on ASG and to achieve that there are several aspects required. First, speed is often under a tenth of a second but if you do put in a website not in our system, in order to get full info for future page reductions, the first view for that site can see a 2-5 second page load (DSL). As well, once a day (for the moment) we will have a temporary downtime in order to fully update information on all websites in our system. Both measures ensure that as much as possible, broswing and using the website will be quick and information will be up to date.
